The Appeal: A Novel - John Grisham

Normally I love John Grisham’s novels, and I usually do not have any trouble following the plot but for some reason, The Appeal was one of those novels that I struggled with. It wasn’t a bad novel, and perhaps had I read the summary before hand, the plot would have made more sense but I didn’t and it felt as though the book was all over the place and it wasn’t until the last few chapters that it all came together and everything made sense. Maybe that was the point. Maybe trying to plow through this book at 2 in the morning wasn’t a good idea (the bane of working the graveyard shift)…but whatever it was, this book was only one step above my least favorite Grisham novel, The King of Torts.
